Selecting a Stone Type!

Most new or remodeled homes today are using stone on all types of surfaces. They range from kitchen countertops, tabletops, fireplaces vanities and/or walls. Not only is it becoming popular but new shapes, colors and styles are appearing in today's market. With all of these options, the hardest decision you will make is not what to use but the color, style and shape to use. You can choose from Marble, Granite, limestone and many other types of stone. Take a look at the different styles and colors we offer by visiting our Materials page.

Selecting a stone goes beyond just the type, color, shape and texture you choose. In todays market you have 100's of types to choose from. The first thing you need to consider is how the stone is going to be used. The room that you place your stone in will be just as important as the color, style or type. You don't want to place marble in a kitchen floor. A kitchen tends to have a high flow of traffic and marble is a softer stone and will chip and or scratch easier then other stones. For kitchens you might want to want to use tile as your floor material. These are some of the questions to answer before you can select your stone type.
